CB&I nets major UAE storage tank contract with ADMA-OPCO

CB&I has signed a contract for nearly USD 90m with Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. (ADMA-OPCO) to conduct a major overhaul of five crude oil storage tanks on Das Island, the site of ADMA-OPCO's main industrial base in the United Arab Emirates

he operations are centered on producing oil and gas from these fields, and transferring the crude through a sophisticated pipeline network to Das Island for processing, storing and exporting

"CB&I's comprehensive capabilities and experience in designing and constructing storage tanks has made us an industry leader for more than 100 years," said Luke Scorsone, president of CB&I's Fabrication Services operating group.

"It also gives us the know-how to successfully and safely execute tank overhaul projects such as this one for ADMA-OPCO."

ADMA-OPCO operates two major fields - Umm Shaif and Zakum. The operations are centered on producing oil and gas from these fields, and transferring the crude through a sophisticated pipeline network to Das Island for processing, storing and exporting.
