Kentz wins LNG plant wastewater contract in Qatar

Kentz Corporation, the holding company of the Kentz Engineering and Construction Group, has announced the award by Qatargas Operating Company for the turnkey process package of a new wastewater facility located in the Qatargas LNG Plant at the Ras Laffan Industrial City

The contract, valued about USD 125m, will be performed and executed through Kentz's engineering and projects business unit

Kentz's scope of work is to supply process engineering, procurement, installation, construction, and commissioning services to deliver wastewater recycling and reduction facilities to four LNG trains.

"Kentz is extremely happy to be awarded this package and to continue our long-standing relationship with Qatargas,” said Tush Doshi, Kentz group president, engineering and projects business unit. “This award signals the continued achievements of our exploration and production business in the region and reflects the successful outcome of a focused strategy within one of our core markets. All three business units have experienced impressive growth across the Middle East in recent years and we have a very positive outlook across the region."

The contract, valued about USD 125m, will be performed and executed through Kentz's engineering and projects business unit. At peak workforce, Kentz will be employing approximately 440 staff and field personnel, with project completion scheduled in 2016.
