Sinopec awarded USD 1.33bn refinery construction project in Malaysia

Sinopec will be required to provide full design, engineering, construction and installation services to the Malaysian state player
The contract is reportedly worth around USD 1.33bn.
The work will encompasses the construction of technology capable of processing around 15 million tons per year of atmospheric distillation and 8.8 million tons per year of residual oil hydrogenation.
Sinopec will be required to provide full design, engineering, construction and commissioning services to the Malaysian state player.
The project is located in Johor, Malaysia, and is the country’s largest downstream investment project in nearly 20 years.
