The company will unveil is new Pipelines 4.0 solution, tailored to the evolving needs of North American midstream operators

Siemens will showcase its comprehensive oil and gas solutions for upstream, midstream and downstream applications at the upcoming Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium (TPS), December 12 – 14, 2017 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. The company will also feature electrification, automation and digitalization solutions that span the oil and gas value chain.

During the symposium, Siemens will also unveil Pipelines 4.0, its integrated approach to the engineering, supply and life cycle optimization of pipeline assets, tailored to meet the evolving needs of North American operators.

Pursuant to Pipelines 4.0, the company has added pre-engineered equipment packages to its portfolio, such as a new electric-motor-driven (EMD) compressor. The EMD is designed for efficient installation and startup, allowing operators to significantly reduce project lead times. Siemens has the unique ability to offer an extended electrification package that includes compressors, drives, motors, skids, automation, e-shelters, sub-stations and transformers, enabling operators to further streamline interfaces and reduce risk.

To learn more about Siemens’ oil and gas portfolio, participants and media are welcome to attend the company’s in-booth digital dialogues, and lectures, tutorials, short courses and discussion groups taking place during the technical sessions. Details for these sessions, including topics and speakers, can be found at: Siemens @ Turbomachinery and Pump Symposium 2017.
