Rosneft spuds gas injection wells in East Siberia

Five wells will be drilled for injection of associated petroleum gas into the formation over the next two years.
Projected depth of each will be up to 3,000 metres.
Putting them into operation will allow injecting up to a billion cubic metres of associated petroleum gas each year into the formation.
Rosneft also intends to install a high pressure pipeline, compressor station and gas turbine electric power station at the Yurubcheno-Tokhomsk field over the coming years.
Before the beginning of industrial oil production, Eastern Siberian Oil and Gas Company will prepare infrastructure ensuring effective usage of not less than 95 per cent of associated petroleum gas.
Some part of associated petroleum gas is planned to be forwarded for auxiliaries – electricity and heat production at the field as well as to be used in the process of oil treatment.
